Talking Portraits Productions Studio

Here is picture of the studio showing the Final Cut Pro station on the left (MacPro) and the audio station on the right using Cubase. Both systems have dual monitors setups. I'm using RME analog to digital gear (8 analog with 8 channel DIO on each station) with optical interfacing to pipe multichannel digital audio between the two stations. All my mixing is done electronically so the only things I have on the desk are keyboards and the Mackie Big Nob for controlling volume to the studio speakers and switching between the two stations.

This is my portable rig. It's a SoundDevices 722 with two Quarterman omni microphones. I like this set-up because it's small, light and extremely high quality. The best part is I don't need microphone stands and I don't have to worry about the person I'm interviewing always moving back or away from his/her microphone during the interview. The interview 'connection' feels more real and less like a formal process with lots of gear staring them in the face.

I have a couple of small wireless Sennheiser microphones that I mainly use for video podcasting.

In video podcasting I'm using the Sony A1U HD video camera ...

and the Sony V1U HD video camera.
